WebbForced subtitles not working when remote. so I have a weird issue. When I watch local forced subtitles work fine with or without transcoding. But when watching from remote it says forced subtitles direct stream even though the rest is being transcoded and the subtitles won't show up. I'm grateful for any help, thanks! Webb26 dec. 2024 · There are 2 types of subtitles: subtitles are in the same file as the video and the audio stream (s). These are called “internal” or “embedded” subtitles. Subtitles which are stored in a separate file. These are called “external” subtitles. If a movie has both internal and external subtitles, the external subtitles are preferred in Plex.
