WebGEOLOGIC AND GEOTHERMAL SETTING The Snake River Plain (SRP) is a topographic depression along the Snake River (Figure 1) in south Idaho. The SRP is divided into two parts, the western Snake River Plain (WSRP) and ESRP. The WSRP is a basalt and sediment filled tectonic feature defined by Webnation’s energy portfolio. This project is being conducted by the Snake River Geothermal Consortium at the 110-km2 (42.6-mi2) Geothermal Resource Research Area (GRRA) on the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) Site.
